Galvanized steel sheet is a welded steel sheet with a hot-dip galvanized or electro-galvanized layer on the surface. It is generally widely used in construction, household appliances, vehicles, vessels, container manufacturing, and mechanical and electrical industries.
Galvanized steel sheets are divided into ordinary electrolytic plates and fingerprint-resistant electrolytic plates. The fingerprint resistant plate is based on the ordinary electrolytic plate with a fingerprint resistant treatment, which is resistant to sweat. It is generally used on parts without any treatment, and the brand is SECC-N. Ordinary electrolytic plates are divided into phosphating plate and passivation plate. Phosphating is more commonly used, the brand is SECC-P, commonly known as p material. The passivation board can be divided into oiled and unoiled.
Hot-dip galvanized steel (SGCC) has an advantage over electro-galvanized steel (SECC). The bending and section of SECC are very easy to rust. Under the same conditions, SGCC has much better rust resistance. High-quality cabinets usually use SECC or SGCC galvanized steel plates. The cabinet steel plates using this material are bright in color and have a metallic luster. The advantage of this type of steel plate is its good corrosion resistance.
Electro-galvanized steel (SECC): uniform gray, mainly imported, resistant to fingerprints, has excellent corrosion resistance, and maintains the workability of cold-rolled plates. Uses: home appliances, computer case shells and some door panels and panels.
Hot-dip galvanized steel (SGCC): dip-plated, bright white, small spangles (more difficult to see), large spangles can clearly see hexagonal flower blocks. There are only two factories in China Steel and Shengyu Steel Corporation in Taiwan Province that can produce them. There is no steel factory in mainland China that can produce high-quality materials, mainly relying on imports.
Main features:
Corrosion resistance, paintability, formability and spot weldability.
It has a wide range of uses. It is mainly used for small household appliances that require good-looking parts, but compared to SECC, its price is more expensive. Therefore, many manufacturers switch to SECC to save costs.
Divided by zinc: the size of the spangle and the thickness of the zinc layer can indicate the quality of galvanizing, the smaller the thickness, the better. Manufacturers can also add anti-fingerprint processing. Also, it can be distinguished by its coating. For example, Z12 means the total amount of double-sided coating is 120g/mm.
E.g:
Aluminum-zinc-plated steel (SGLD): It is a multi-phase alloy material containing aluminum-rich and zinc-rich. Because of the characteristics of aluminum and zinc, it has better performance than hot-dip galvanized steel (SGCC). Main features: corrosion resistance, its ability is much higher than SGCC; heat resistance; heat conduction and heat reflectivity; formability; weldability. Uses: used in some places that require good reflectivity, such as the reflector inside the oven, The reflector of the electric cooker. Hot-dip galvanized steel (SGCC) is for general use, aluminum-galvanized steel (SGLD) is for deep drawing, and SGCE is for ultra-deep drawing.
